On April 24th Stephen Newcomb, a lecturer in Jazz at the Queensland Conservatorium presented an improvised solo recital, based around a variety of musical structure. The concert explored Newcomb's fascination with a wide range of musical influences, including re-contextualised versions of short pieces from a selection of Classical composers from the 18th and 19th Centuries, as well as new adaptations of songs from the world of popular music today.
