I’ve been wanting to do this podcast since the weekend, just to play thisonesong:

I Will Follow You Into the DarkbyDeath Cab For Cutie

I am so in love with this song, it’s ridiculous.

I was blown away when I first played it. The lyrics are so beautiful. I woulddie, absolutely stop breathing and fall down in a deathly heap, if someone ever wrote or said, something like this to me.

This is thebestlove song I’veeverheard. It captures that feeling of loving someone so much, you would…“follow them into the dark”.

I admit I’ve listened to this song a milliontimes and it makes me cry. It captures such a strange and powerful emotion which seems so amazing to me.

In fact, I’m going to force myself to learn to play this on my guitar because I love it so much!

And many thanks to my rawkin’ friendGregoryfor sharing it with me.

And now for the rest of the songs:

2.Aligned On the Steps by Andrew Morgan

3.What I’m Looking For by Brendan Benson

This is my new favorite song from this album. I think I should have played it with myBallad of Big Nothingentry. It would have been fitting, in a funny way! I love the lyrics and his message. I relate to it quite a bit.

4.Eros’ Entropic Tundra by Of Montreal

Following the theme of Brendan’s song, here’s the Of Montreal song, which is a little moremopey pants, in my opinion. I love this song though. How could I not?

5.Thirteen (Big Star) covered by Elliott Smith

I love how sweet this song and how Elliott covers it, captures a certain innocence.

BTW, Big Star has a new album due out, the first studio recording in like thirty years. Featuring my favorite people,Ken StringfellowandJon Auer(The Posies), joining the band.

6.Movin’ On Up by Primal Scream

In an attempt not to have the mostdowner podcastever, I’m ending on a high note with this Primal Scream feel-good-number.

You can dance and clap along!

Or just dance or just clap.

Either way it’s all good.

Thanks for listening!

And don’t forget to subscribe to my podcast through iTunes if you haven’t yet.
