When wildfires swept through San Diego County in October 2007, residents of area Native American reservations were among the hardest hit. The Poomacha fire destroyed about 92 percent of the La Jolla Reservation. Adam Geisler, long term recovery coordinator for the La Jolla Band of Luiseño Indians, explained the unique challenges faced by his people in the face of disaster. DNN Radio reports.
