Bill Hedge of ApplauseCast interviews jazz drummer, composer and editor for DRUM MAGAZINE, Wally Schnalle. Defying genre Schnalle allows the world around him to inform his compositions and his playing, enabling his energetic and eclectic music to explore the interplay and overlap between genres, time signature and sound itself. Schnalle says, 'While there are artists who find comfort in - and become very talented at adhering to - a certain convention, style or era of music, I find those boundaries frustrating.'
