On the show this week:
-Dynasty (Not the One With Joan Collins in It)
-Something Vaguely Entertaining
Trust us, even though Largo misidentifies the year in the opening of the show, this isn't a Lost Episode. The Boy starts us off by getting us in trouble with the ASPCA while Sanguinist tells us how scarily dexterous one of his cats is. We also talk about the healing powers of Juicing (unless you happen to be an MLB player.)
Getting into the topics, we get back to our old political roots by discussing the upset that was the Democratic party losing the 'Kennedy' seat. Watch and marvel as Coakley's camp and the White House snipe while Sanguinist's skin crawls and Largo rants about career politicians. We're eventually forced to bring in both Septimus Prime and Rick Santorum to lighten the mood.
Kicking into SVE, we apologize for our lack of actual theatrical release reviews, but, hey, times are tight. Instead, we offer up our reviews of the Chiller premieres and Shiver and Plague Town. Spoilers abound.
Shiver, a subtitled Spanish vaux-vampire/feral child film, was far, far better than any of us expected it to be. At least until the 'shock' ending.
Plague Town, on the other hand, is the bastard love child of National Lampoon's European Vacation and The Hills Have Eyes (though it's not as good as either.) Inept dialogue and camera work, lame torture porn, mutant children, and the most Irish Englishman to ever be able to teach Bruce Willis how to Die Hard await those willing to deal with this turd. This one is so bad that it almost makes us long for the mediocrity of Amusement.
