On this week's show:
-State This Union
-Something Vaguely Entertaining
We begin by discussing how Cylons might be better if covered in bacon as well as the failed D&D monster the Bacon Golem. This leads to speculation as to just what class Alton Brown would be. The Boy then talks about how disappointing Mormon Muffins are as well as the lack of busty babes in the online city building game Evony (despite the ads to the contrary.) We close out the pre-topic random rambling by discovering the limit to Sanguinist's love of the cold.
Getting on to our first topic (after Largo loses another bout with heartburn), we give our views on President Obama's first State of the Union Address. Listen and see why we liked this address better than the last eight of them. Listen also to us rant about No Child Left Behind, student loan financing, the tenor of Congress during the speech, Imperial Presidencies, and infrastructure spending.
After a quick batch of bad jokes, we move into our review of Fido, a zomb-edy that was far, far better than pretty much anything we've watched on Chiller. It's a fairly spoiler-free review, since we actually want you to watch and enjoy this one.
Largo then gives his first impressions of Caprica while also talks about how the effects of Babylon 5 are almost painful to watch now. This also leads into a discussion of prequels in general (and Star Wars: The Clone Wars in specific.) We also look at Wizards of the Coast deciding to let the Star Wars license expire as well as the impending release of the Dresden Files RPG. We also announce our plans to attend Origins before unleashing a closing bout of bad puns.
