It was back in 2001 that Dieter Kosslick took over the creative direction and management of the Berlinale. He has been involved in the film industry since 1983, firstly as managing director of Hamburg's cultural film fund and later he became the executive director of the state of North Rhine-Westphalia Film Foundation.
In this week’s Inspired Minds Dieter Kosslick talks to Breandáin O’Shea about the history of this fascinating festival, the role it has and will play in breaking down all kinds of barriers and the positive effect the world financial crisis has had on filmmakers.
