Link to the Show / Show NotesThe Rose City Rollers (RCR) 'Fresh Meat' team introductions start off this episode. The names of the coach and team members are priceless in deed. The undefeated Heartless Heathers are up to finish their match against the High Rollers. One whistle starts the Jam and the two whistle blows release the Jammers to skate up to the pack.
Marta can't keep her eyes or thought off "Ava-Sk8trix." Ken can't help but comment.
The Break Neck Betties are in the last quarter against the Guns 'N Rollers. Ken is sitting next to the father of "D. Konstructor," the Betties newest Jammer. A big high five and announcement of "Those are our girls!", from her dad after the bout was awesome. Some of the fun is listening to Marta and Ken call what's going on slightly ahead of the announcers. "Dora Doom" gets a lot of support from the duo.
Marta finds Paul from Comcast. Ken finds Dora from RCR and meets "Stella Stardust." They are put together for a discussion of sponsorship and television. Marta can't help but chime in to the discussion. If this networking works out, somebody owes Marta and Ken some season tickets!
Following the discussion, Marta is frequently distracted by the derby girls. Go figure. Even one of the women outside the Expo Center keeps looking at either Marta or Ken. The debate rages on.
Marta and Ken run into some interesting people on the Max train platform. How do these things keep happening to them? On the Max, there is the bike guy that can't decide where to exit the train. Once he does, he does not ride his bike. Ken talks about bike-based citations on Kwajalein Island. Next, he explains the bus system on the island. Marta relates a story about a co-working plucking her eyebrows during a training class.
