The Edge Festival brings together over 50 acts playing live at gigs across Edinburgh during August. This podcast features previews, interviews and live recordings made by Radio Magnetic, from The Edge Festival. Gigs take place in Edinburgh's best live music venues: Cabaret Voltaire, the Corn Exchange, the Playhouse, HMV Picture House, Sneaky Pete's, Studio 24, The City Nightclub and The Queen's Hall. Throughout this year's Edinburgh Festival Fringe, you can see: Amanda Palmer, Andrew Bird, Biffy Clyro, Boyz Noise, Broken Records, Calvin Harris, Carolina Liar, David Byrne, Dinosaur Pile-Up, Enter Shikari, Faith No More, Foy Vance, Frank Turner, Frightened Rabbit, Ian Broudie, Jeffrey Lewis and The Junkyard, Magazine, Malcolm Middleton, Metric, Mumford and Sons, N-Dubz, Soma Records showcase featuring The Black Dog live, Starsailor, The Bluetones. The Juan Maclean, The Red Hot Chilli Pipers, The Stranglers, The Streets, Young Fathers and Unicorn Kid. The Edge Festival was launched last year by DF Concerts, who have promoted a programme of live music at the Edinburgh Festival for ten years. This year they've invited Radio Magnetic to record selected shows and profile some of the performers.
