As promised the other week, here’s that Basement Jaxx inspired Whitney/Mr Oizo mashup. Flat Beat still sounds great – glad that I’ve been reminded to dig it out. Whitney’s dulcet tones over the top work very well – but then the Jaxx boys are full of good ideas. Thanks to Kevvy K for unearthing the It’s not right… accapella and making it possible. News in today that Whitney and bad rep hubby Bobby Brown’s fourteen year marriage is “on the rocks”. Seriously, you’d be amazed how many reports have used that expression and I swear half of them have done it without their tongues in their cheeks. Well, it’s their prerogative I suppose. Boom boom. Can’t say I can bring myself to care much about it. Maybe I’m lacking compassion cos I’m not lolling in the back of a boat drifting gently in clear-blue waters off the Cypriot coast with a keo beer and a haloumi cheese stuffed pitta in my sun-tanned hands anymore.
Don’t you just hate holidays that end?
