With all the talk about anthologies recently, I thought I should dust off the phonebooks and give people an example of a MangaCast must buy.... CGH Approved?? I wonder.
Akita Shoten is a publisher that seems to be filling up many a publishers libraries lately. This publisher is old school. Look at their titles - Captain Harlock, Black Jack, Crest of the Royal Family, Dokaben, Vampire Princess, Iron Wok Jan. But their recent titles are nothing to laugh at either. Almost all of Go!Comi's titles come from Akita Shoten. Many of the ADV titles and CMX titles are also from this publisher. However, only a handful have been from the shonen side. Actually their most famous contemporary titles have struggled in the US - WORST, IWGP, Premature Priest and Hanaukyo Maid Team.
Monthly Shonen Champion is the home of many of those struggling titles and at the same time it is the magazine Jarred and I want to bring over to the States the most. And before you start saying that its simply because this magazine has a yanki ratio of 5to1, let me tell you.... Yanki is a frame of mind and even the non-yanki titles are loved equally by the both of us.

Monday night Raw... I mean Black Monday Night takes battles to the streets and then to your homes. Always beware because you never know where a BMN Japan event might happen.
Izo Lover is what Noodle Fighter Miki should have been. If Karura could only deliver her bentou to Terakado-kun without spilling the ramen she could have been in heaven!!
