Raised in the West African country of Benin it was rock, soul, and reggae that turned Grammy winner Angelique Kidjo onto singing. On her new cd, 'Oyo,' she pays homage to her musical influences, and she told FUV's Rita Houston during a live Marquee performance, that even more than Miriam Makeba or Bob Marley, it was her father that was her biggest influence.
