Link to the Show / Show NotesEarlier this week, the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education released statistics predicting the risk of students dropping out of high school. The risk was calculated based on 8th grade MCAS standardized test results, attendance rates, and age. As WFCR's Anne Mostue reports, news is good for suburban children, but more than half of Springfield and Holyoke 8th graders have been labeled at risk of dropping out of high school.
