What is the Real Cost of a Palm OS Handheld?Show Time: 01:00 minShow Size: 316473 KBIn the cast, Carl Brooks asks, "What is the Real Cost of a Palm OS Handheld? You've been stalking that new device for a while, visiting your local store to hold in your hand, researching it online within the your forums and news sites. You have done your homework - or have you? The price tags shows $399.99 but is that the final cost? Does it come with the accessories you want or need: a cradle, a case, extra stylus What will it cost you to add whatevr is missing? Does it include all of the software you want or need, if not what is the cost of those? Will you need a monthly data plan or separate WIFI plan? Does a similar device have less power but include more of the things you really need - out of the box. Just like a PC, if all you need it for is to play solitaire then you are all set but if your need is more, you may have to pay more. When doing your homework for your next PDA, consider the real cost of the device not just the price on the box. A little research will save you both time and money."
