Pieterpad te paard voor gehandicapten Wierden:
Het Pieterpad lopen doen wel meer mensen. Het is een populaire meerdaagse wandeltocht van vijfhonderd kilometer van het noorden van Groningen naar de Sint Pietersberg in het zuiden van Limburg. Annika Abbink uit Vriezenveen en Marieke Pijffers uit Hoge Hexel doen de tocht vanaf volgende week te paard. Tien dagen lang rijden ze gemiddeld 50 kilometer per dag. Met de tocht zamelen ze geld in voor de stichting paardrijden gehandicapten manege 'n Mölnbelt in Wierden. Annika en Marieke waren te gast tijdens Het Overijssels Hart.

The scandal revolves around the issue of parliamentary expenses; in particular, how much MP's should be allowed to claim for a second home - so they can live both in their electoral districts and close to parliament. For the first time, the full details of the expenses have been leaked to a national newspaper. And that has unleashed a storm of protest from the voters.

For thousands of internet users, it's a draconian clampdown on freedom.Internet piracy is said to cost the entertainment industry up to a billion euros a year. The French parliament has just passed one of the toughest measures to combat illegal downloading. The new law means the pirates may have their internet connections cut off. An agency is to be set up to monitor and police the illegal downloading of music and films. But critics including civil liberties groups and the European parliament have condemned the law, while other critics say it'll be unworkable.

In what’s regarded as the first battle in the emerging Cold War, the three Western allies - the United States, Britain and France - organised a gigantic air-born operation aimed at keeping alive the two million Berliners in the Western sectors of the divided city. The so-called Berlin Airlift lasted 11 months. On Tuesday, Berliners commemorated the pilots who died in the massive operation and celebrated those still alive.

They used state-issued weapons in the attack. The militia was created by the Turkish authorities as part of their battle against the PKK, a militant organization fighting for Kurdish autonomy. The European Union and human rights groups have accused the village guards of illegal killings and criminal activity. Pressure is growing for the militia to be disbanded.

It means customers will only be able to buy the drug if they have a special pass. The measure is aimed at discouraging drug tourism. John Tyler, the political editor of Radio Netherlands, explained how the new scheme will work.

Stel je bent van plan om ergens in Nederland te wandelen of te fietsen, maar in een gebied dat je eigenlijk niet kent. Hoe kom je dan te weten wat je kunt verwachten en waar je vooral langs moet? Vanaf nu kan dat via de website oppadinderegio.nl. De website is een gezamenlijk initiatief van de regionale omroepen in Nederland. Op de website kunnen bezoekers een route uitstippelen en filmpjes bekijken van de omgeving. En bezoekers kunnen ook hun eigen routes en filmpjes toevoegen. Tijdens Het Overijssels Har was hoofdredacteur Hauben van de omroep van Limburg L1 te gast.

Topkoks: Twentse asperges lekkerste van Nederland:
Dat goede asperges niet alleen uit Limburg komen was al langer bekend. Maar nu zijn de Limburgse asperges echt van de troon gestoten door asperges uit Twente. Uit een kritische test van een aantal topkoks uit Nederland in Limburg zijn de asperges van aspergeteler Rudy Busschers uit Bentelo als lekkerste van Nederland gekozen. De asperges waren aangeleverd door chef-kok Willem Dankers van restaurant Dorset Mansion House in Borne, dat vorig jaar met dezelfde asperges nog werd gekozen tot 'Aspergerestaurant van het Jaar'. Rudy Busschers en Willem Dankers waren te gast tijdens Het Overijssels Hart.

Na het SBS nieuwsbulletin en het sportverslag van Radio Nederland, gaan we terug naar de 50 en 60er jaren.
In Limburg is een museum dat zich vooral op die periode toelegt Het heet dan ook Museum Terug in de Tijd. De oprichter Henny Marechal vertelt over de charme van die period.
U hoort ook over een grote tentoonstelling die momenteel in Tasmanie wordt gehouden. De oorspronkelijk uit Belgie afkomstige kunstenaar Chantale Delrue toont daar haar werken in de tentoonstelling Tales from the Forest
En vanavond is natuurlijk het grootste vuurwerk bij de Sydney Harbour Bridge het grote evenement. De producent van dit enorme gebeuren vertelt het een en ander over wat we dit jaar kunnen verwachten.

Leben mit Stil trifft eine Wohnberaterin:
Identity Consult" heißt der aktuelle Trend, den das deutsche Zukunftsinstitut in seiner Studie "High Trust" aufgespürt hat. Neben dem persönlichen Styling wird auch die Wohnberatung in Zukunft eine zunehmende Rolle spielen: "Homing ist längst zu einem Konsumtrend mit Breitenwirkung geworden. Das Heim wird zum Zentrum und Schutzhafen in einer unsicheren Welt." Die Studie prognostiziert, dass sich die professionelle Wohnberatung in den nächsten Jahren "von einem Privileg gut situierter Hausbesitzer zu einem Angebot auch für normale Wohnungsmieter" wandeln wird.
Ilona Dörr-Wälde hat in den letzten Jahren das TYP Living-Konzept der Wohnberatung entwickeln - ohne zu wissen, dass dies zu einem Megatrend werden würde. Sie wurde 1960 in der Nähe von Heilbronn geboren. Nach langjähriger Tätigkeit als Kauffrau in der Industrie, absolvierte sie ein Theologie-Studium und arbeitete danach 12 Jahre im theologisch-pädagogischen Bereich.
Seit 1997 ist sie als Master-Trainerin für den Ausbildungsbereich der Typberaterinnen verantwortlich. Gemeinsam mit Rainer Wälde gründete sie 2002 die TYP Akademie in Limburg und verantwortet als Studienleiterin die zweijährige Ausbildung zum Diplom Image-Consultant. Außerdem leitet sie das Ausbildungsteam und ist als Trainerin für Image-Beratung zuständig.

Dorset Mansion House 'Aspergerestaurant van Nederland 2007':
Voor goede asperges hoeft u echt niet helemaal naar Limburg te rijden. Dat is nu voor eens en voor altijd bewezen. Restaurant Dorset Mansion House in Borne is namelijk uitgeroepen tot 'Aspergerestaurant van Nederland 2007'. De titel is een initiatief van het culinaire tijdschrift Saisonnier. De asperges die het restaurant gebruikt komen van aspergeteler Buschers uit Bentelo. Tijdens Het Overijssels Hart was eigenaar en chefkok Dankers van restaurant Dorset Mansion House te gast.
