I always wanted to record a show out here so here it comes. Next week I think I might be on vacation. I know that sounds weird but we had it scheduled but something has come up so itâs kind of up in the air so check in next Wednesday. Special thanks to everyone who came out to the CEA Golf outing last Friday. We had a great turn out, just not great weather. Shorter show today as Iâm pretty sure the world is on vacation this month. Saturday was the day that the 2009 summer came to Chicago. Hot, humid and muggy I feel for those of you who work on elevators in this heat. As my mom always said make sure you drink lots of liquids. We saw 96 degrees on Sunday which to many of you is a bit on the cool side but for us the quick change was brutal.  Weâve got a shorter show today, only covering elevator news. Next week I may be on vacation but check back on Wednesday to see for sure. We have one last blast before the kids go back to school. Get yours in before itâs too late. It focuses on the intertwining stories of Gabriel Dumont and Louis Riel and the Metis people of this part of the country.   Some of the material in the podcast is from the AV presentation in the park's interpretive centre and some is me narrating as I move through the park. The closing song in this piece is Sacrifice from Robbie Robertson's album "Contact from the Underworld of RedBoy". The song tells the story of Leonard Peltier, an Aboriginal political prisoner currently held in a U.S. prison following an altercation in the 1970's. The album is available from the iTunes Music Store. This is a great album by one of Canada's most talented songwriters, formerly the band leader of The Band.
